There was a lot of talk about climate change and its effect on the earth. But in recent times there is not much talk about the environment. Is it because that the economy would collapse if we were to put a price on carbon. The economy as a whole would not be significantly hurt if we put a price on carbon, but certain industries like the coal and oil industries would. These industries have mounted a huge disinformation campaign to protect their bottom lines. It was also found that greed and cowardice are the main reasons for the killing of action on climate change.
Big energy companies have made the economists claim that any effort to limit the emissions would cripple the economy. We can find that these people are at the receiving end of a line of funding from big energy industries. The politicians shouting against climate action get all the money for their campaign from these industries. People who were friends of global warming campaign have turned cowards, they sacrifice their principles, and humanity’s future, for the sake of a few years added to their political career. Greed, aided by cowardice, has triumphed and the whole world will pay the price.
